SENSE OF CENTRE

by Jack Webb

Imagine a home that is living and breathing, that moves from place to place, a home that we are born in and that we die in.

Sense of Centre is a captivating dance solo from award-winning choreographer Jack Webb. Object manipulation, immersive soundscapes and video projection combine to explore our universal longing for home and the body as a place of sanctuary from the modern world.

A compelling and moving meditation of our increasing sense of loneliness and isolation, and the basic human need for a centre of gravity. In a world that is fractured and breaking apart, Sense of Centre is a powerful return to the simplicity of nature and the importance of belonging.

Sense of Centre is part of the Made in Scotland programme and premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe 2022.
