UNFIX is an evolving festival of ecological performance, dance, music, film and discussion curated by Paul Michael Henry and Produced by Feral. UNFIX seeks to contribute to the waking up of the human species in an age of climate change, massive inequality and crazy consumerism. Is the path we’re on really fixed?
The 2019 edition of UNFIX took place CCA in Glasgow over 3 days featuring contributions from local and international artists and organisations including Minako Seki, Alberta Whittle, Chistiana Bissett, The Workroom, Extinction Rebellion, Creative Carbon Scotland, Paul Michael Henry, Niya B, Broken20, Verónica Mota/Urban Arts Berlin, VID art|science, Yulia Kovanova, NIGHTPARADE, Katrine Turner, VIDIV, Adam Fish and The Dark Mountain Project.
UNFIX invites artists and audiences to come together and consider the most pressing issues of our time including the spectre of climate change, consumer capitalism, carbon emissions, austerity, nationalism, exploitation of natural resources and our broken approach to basic human happiness and well-being. The 2019 edition explored themes ranging from apocalypse and artificial bodies to surveillance, colonialism, environmental destruction and species loneliness.
