oog
by Al Seed
Oog is a dance-theatre piece from multi-award winning choreographer-performer Al Seed. Oog is an intense, physical, and poetic exploration of the trauma of conflict and the lasting psychological damage it can inflict, utilising movement work and a powerful soundtrack to lead audiences deep into the fractured mind of a shell-shocked soldier.
Oog is Al's first entirely movement-based work since The Factory, to which it is a companion piece. Oog has toured to London International Mime Festival, Waves Festival (Vordingborg, Denmark), Differenti Sensazioni (Biella, Italy), Manipulate Festival & Dance Base (Edinburgh), The Arches (Glasgow), Physical Fest (Liverpool), Circomedia (Bristol), Greenbelt Festival (Kettering), as well as an eight venue tour of Scotland.
Winner of the 2015 Total Theatre Award for Physical Theatre.
